I’m a massive fan of Easter (and also crochet bunny ears but we’ll get to that!). It’s just so much calmer and less out of control than Christmas and there’s way less expectation to have the greatest night ever like on New Year’s Eve. Easter is so casual, I love it.
I don’t come from a religious family so Easter for us is all about hanging out with friends, family (if we happen to be around them) and taking some time off to just chill out. I tend to spend most of Easter making love to Netflix while crocheting but that’s just me!
I wasn’t going to do an Easter pattern this year because I’m not seeing my niece (the main beneficiary of my more whimsical designs) but then a few nights ago I found this delicious cotton in my stash and just started playing around until I came up with these. Even though Easter is just around the corner there’s still time to make these – I promise! I whipped these up in one night and I was designing at the same time so that takes longer (have you ever tried to write down every step of crocheting something? It takes AGES!) so if you’re fast you could do these in one night, if you’re a bit slower, it might take you two nights. Totally do-able.
You can also make these in front of the the TV. There is some counting in this pattern but it’s super intuitive and simple so you won’t get too lost. I promise.
Just click here to download the pattern – it will be delivered to your inbox stat.
What are you up to this Easter? I’m spending the weekend at the family farm, visiting local markets, crocheting (obviously!) and cooking an Easter dinner for some mates who are coming to visit and I’ve got a top notch bottle of red wine I can’t wait to crack open. I’m weirdly excited about it.
What does your weekend look like?

Crocheting and Netflix. I love it! I don’t feel guilty streaming if I am crocheting!

BTW, crocheting a few bunnies for Easter. I’ve discovered a shortcut for embroidering their eyes and noses. Using black animal safety eyes and noses purchased from Hobby Lobby, I paint them using pastel colored nail polish. Saves time from embroidering all the features. Thanks for pattern will make a wild colored bunny ears for my dog who serves as my foto model. Instagram: #chamadogmodel.
